Aspring Capital Continues as General Partner of The Experts: School of Finance Case Championship for the Second Year in a Row

September 8, 2024, Moscow – Investment bank Aspring Capital has once again taken on the role of general partner for the 2024 edition of The Experts: School of Finance open case championship.

This year, participants were tasked with analyzing the acquisition of KazanExpress by Magnit and providing recommendations to a hypothetical Board of Directors on the company’s fundamental valuation, potential sale, or other strategic alternatives. Teams were required to develop a financial model and create presentation materials in the style commonly used in investment banking and consulting client meetings, as well as in real-world financial transactions.

Aspring Capital’s project manager, Matvei Gafanovich, served as a member of the jury. The first prize was awarded to the team "One Way," comprising Artem Spesivtsev, Vladislav Vasyuta, and Sergey Razmanov. The second place went to the team "Football School," consisting of Mark Skalkin, Georgiy Gerasimov, and Anton Kilizhekov.
